After 5 years of conceptual recordings and polishing, Chapter 2 of the Afflatus Series is finally here. Pushing the concept far beyond the first installment of the series, Afflatus Chapter 2 Brass is a comprehensive no-holds-barred collection of brass instruments based 100% on user feedback and the core strengths of the first chapter, making it a true workhorse collection of brass instruments.
Capturing conducted musical performances as opposed to static generic samples, Afflatus Chapter 2 features several curated ensembles based on some of our and your favourite film soundtracks and pieces from the classical repertoire. These highly specialized and inspiring patches deliver instantly gratifying results beyond what traditional multisamples are capable of achieving. Recorded with different articulations and dynamic layers, these curated ensembles are far more than one-trick ponies; they are serious scoring and music production tools.
From a gigantic Barbarian Low Brass Ensemble able to perform thunderous walls of brass while still maintaining clarity and an organic sound, to 10 Phantom Horns amplifying themselves through Marshall Amps back into the room into playable, expressive and delicate brass swells (The Chosen One), as well as muted trumpets with vibraphone and saxophones (Noir Brass), the available colours are numerous and required an extensive amount of test sessions to get the best out of the concepts they are based on. We are proud to say that we have 9 different curated ensembles with multiple articulations as well as dynamic layers in the 1.0 release of Afflatus Chapter 2 Brass. On top of that, Chapter 2 also comes as a comprehensive and consistently sampled workhorse brass collection containing various ensemble sizes and soloists of every section recorded normale and with various mutes (where applicable) for the different instruments. Featuring the latest iterations of our acclaimed polyphonic true legato and a brand new user interface allowing you to customize each articulation and the sound to your liking. Special attention was given towards seamless crossfading between dynamic layers and tightness in the round robin editing. The top dynamic is a blasting fff, while the lowest dynamic is a soft pp. A wide selection of different lengths for marcato playing as well as playable sfz crescendo, slides, wt/ht trills, flutter are available for each instrument performed normale and with mutes where possible.
The library was edited in such a way that playability and performance was key. There are only minimal offsets - if any - needed to get the performance 100% tight.

As with the previous chapter, Afflatus Brass dives deep into the unknown, too. Therefore, we are happy to say that the experimental subfolder is also present in Chapter 2. These highly playable patches are processed and mapped in unusual ways and allow you to get sounds beyond the traditional orchestral perspective on brass instruments.

The powerful brass library comes together with our unique polyphonic legato script - helping you create music faster! Dynamic Range from ppp to fff with seamless crossfading between dynamic layers, as well as Performance patches for quick sketching - creating music has never been more fun!
Consistently recorded collection of muted brass with various options for different types of mutes; each of the solo patches have the same set of articulations making it easier to combine your own virtual brass ensemble.
As with our other libraries, we believe that composing in the virtual workspace is a process that goes hand-in-hand with performance - we believe that composers nowadays become the first conductors of their music! And thus the tools we make need to be as playable as a seasoned orchestra!
The library has programmable speed for polyphonic and monophonic legato, as well as our brand new user Interface allowing for the customization of each individual articulation. You also have customizable "Tuning Humanize" and "Hall Noise" options, Velocity Dynamic Influencer for extra control on polyphonic legato voicing.
The library was recorded in an ambient medium-sized hall with 4 mic positions (Close, Section, Decca and Hall); within its arsenal you have Curated ensembles based on orchestrations from film scores and the classical symphonic repertoire, experimental sections featuring processed recordings, ordinary enembles and solos with and without mutes, inspiring collection of sparks and much more!

Strezov's AFFLATUS BRASS is my new front-line weapon for orchestral brass. The Velocity Dynamics Influencer feature is immediately useful in my workflow, and the ability to switch instantly between sustain, mono-legato, and poly-legato is another massively useful feature. And the sound is all I could hope for, from delicate to brutal, from intimate to massive, from up close to miles away. Supreme realism, instant playability, and world-class tone. A massive thumbs up!
One revelation, which has made its way across from the Afflatus String package, is polyphonic legato; this is not only a huge timesaver when producing a performance in your DAW, but also incredibly convincing.
As not all of our products come with unique serial numbers which you are to insert into Native Access, please pay close attention to the products' "Requirements" sections - they can tell you if you can power a certain library through the free Kontakt Player, or if you need to purchase the retail version of Kontakt in order to use the library to its fullest potential (for instance - Architecture of Sound is meant only for the full Kontakt v5.7.1 or higher, while Storm Choir Ultimate can be powered through v5.7.1 or higher for both the full / paid Kontakt and the free Kontakt Player).
True, PayPal is our primary processor. But so that people don't feel pressed to use their services if they don't want to, we also accept money orders through Wise (formerly known as TransferWise) and regular bank wire transfers. Just leave your order open and reach out to our support team, please.
Yes, indeed, please do! That way (assuming you're using different emails for our site and NI's) you'd get higher crossgrade rates to other libraries of ours'. Reach out to our support, and include the invoice you were issued and/or your serial number(s).
Yes, we do! We offer a total of 30% off all single products' full retail prices and, again, a total of 35% off all bundles (Counting the existing discount rates! For example, our CHOIR COLLECTION isn't subject to EDU pricing, as its discount is higher than 35%) . We only request that you provide us with a scanned image of your student / faculty / staff ID and a recently dated document proving that you are currently studying or that you are a faculty/staff member, and send it to support@strezov-sampling.com . And, of course - to save some time, include the product(s) you're interested in and are ready to purchase. Please note that the educational discount is not "stackable" with other offers we might be having at a certain point. And yes, a library's intro pricing is considered a promotional offer, so the same rule applies :)
In the new version of our site, all our existing clients have profiles of their own, containing orders, download links for libraries and updates, personal / company information for invoicing, crossgrade options and gift cards. Try yours - we believe you will enjoy having everything in one place! :)
If you haven't received a Native Access serial number with one of the confirmation emails we are sending out, then the library you have purchased is to be treated as "third party" - we can't provide serial numbers for those and so the products aren't visible in the standard "library view" of Kontakt. We can still offer you a workaround for the Strezov Sampling libraries you are using.
Our libraries don't work in standalone mode without Native Instruments Kontakt, so you only need to pay attention to the required Kontakt / Kontakt Player version. If you can open Kontakt's respective version with your current OS, then you can be sure the library will work, as well.
